MONARVA is a ethical fashion brand at the heart. We are proud to manufacture all our handbags in Dhaka, Bangladesh, supporting and uplifting the lives of the underprivileged in the local community. Our production process involves working hand in hand with individuals from the slums, providing valuable job opportunities for both men and women. As we embark on our journey, our goal is to create job opportunities for at least 300 families living in the urban slums of Dhaka and villages of Rajshahi and Rangpur, within the next two years.
Sustainable Leather Sourcing
We take pride in our commitment to sustainability. MONARVA exclusively uses cow leather, a byproduct of Bangladesh’s meat industry. Additionally, our leather is sourced from cows sacrificed during Eid-ul-Adha, a significant religious festival in the Muslim community of Bangladesh. This sustainable sourcing approach allows us to avoid unjust animal killing while utilizing the natural byproduct for our leather goods.
