Design
We started by listening to women who embrace modest
fashion, gathering their insights and feedback on what
makes an accessory feel both beautiful and respectful. Their
voices shaped our approach, guiding us to craft handbags
that align perfectly with the principles of modesty. Our
design process is an ongoing collaboration, as we continue
to engage with our customers to understand their
preferences in every aspect—color, structure, spacing,
patterns, materials, and even functionality.

We are proud to manufacture all our handbags in Dhaka,
Bangladesh.Our production process involves working hand in
hand with individuals from the slums, providing valuable job
opportunities for both men and women.
As we embark on our journey, our goal is to create job
opportunities for at least 300 families living in the urban slums
of Dhaka and villages of Rajshahi and Rangpur
Sustainable
We source our leather sustainably. The leather comes from cows
sacrificed during Eid-ul-Adha, a significant religious festival in
the Muslim community of Bangladesh. We use leather that
would otherwise be wasted and end up in landfills. As it did during the pandemic period due to numerous cancelled orders of lether and leather goods. This approach ensures that the leather is ethically sourced by avoiding the need for additional animal slaughter. This also allows us to repurpose a natural by-product and reduce waste.

in creating high-quality leather goods since 2016. His design
journey has taken him across the globe, working with renowned
brands from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Ireland, Belgium,
and now in the USA. With a deep understanding of cultural
nuances and market preferences, Imtiaz has developed a keen
sense of what makes an accessory truly unique and meaningful.
Specializing in modest fashion for the past 6 years, Imtiaz has
crafted designs that beautifully complement and respect the
values of modesty. His commitment to creating elegant,
understated, and functional pieces is at the heart of MONARVA’s
mission. As one of the founders of MONARVA, his expertise and
passion for modest fashion accessories have been instrumental
in shaping the brandʼs vision of merging style with respect for
